Jaw grinds as movement slowly pulses
Search for the sacred land of reeds
Led by Anubis blindly broken
Vines grab the scabs of wasted heed

Through the tests dwell the gates that vindicate

He slowly walks the spines of serpents
Masks hide their guise of sympathy
She whispers spells that pacify them
from crib sheets written of his days

The tether has unwound
Exposing the spindle’s repose
A hollowed husk lies above
While the jury hangs below

Eyes of spirals flicker on
as blinking halls melt away
The sinking gaze of stones
give rise to his decay

Machinations of destiny
Wrought by crook and flail
Gilded scales to scrutinize
the sum and substance of my life

Congregation by gods’ decree
Silent lord of youth
Stoic king of the living
and his court of forty two

Betrayed by his own blood
(Heart swings towards the impure)
The guilt caged in his chest

Exhalations from the depraved heart

Resolved, the charge is laid
(Proof of faults unyielding)
The author’s hands are bound
(Pronouncement made, the soul cast down)

Ammit consumes the chambers once unburdened
Salival streams of forfeit legacy

A liquid drains from the cup leaving only the empty vessel
Steam of crimson red appraised by sacred wings
Crow's feet tread the roads as auric shades fade to gray

Emerging out of the depths
and entering the darkness

Judgement is made
but still she waits
